ComTech has integrated robots to perform metal ladling for all types of die cast machines (High pressure, low pressure, sand castings, etc). Using a custom designed bucket, the systems offer the following features and flexibility:

NEAR ELIMINATION OF OXIDES - The smooth continous scoop and pour that the robot creates greatly reduces the oxides that are created using a 2 axis ladle.

Dross Skimming - While the robot is retrieving metal from the furnace, it first enters and removes the skim on the surface so that the metal entering the bucket is free of impurities. In addition, the robot can skim the entire furnace while the die cast machine is in cycle.

Reliability - The robot is integrated so that is impossible for it ever to travel into the furnace. The pour will always be consistent becuase there is no chain to strectch.

Ingot Pre-Heating - If the application uses ingots, the robot can automatically pre-heat them and place them in the furnace. Thus, reducing labor costs.
